I had no idea that her vision was bad, and she didn’t either. 🙁 Sometimes we don’t know what we’re missing, just like you said. What am I missing that I don’t know about? Give me glasses, Lord. wow what a memory about your mom and your glasses. i will never forget that moment I looked up and realized all I could see. Amazing. Yes I love contacts too – at least until the past 10 years. Now I perfer my glasses. quite a flip, right?

Maybe you know it too. Ephesians 1:18-19 would make a worthy addition to a morning prayer, preparing myself to live aware. What opportunities will the day hold? What evidence of God’s riches can I praise Him for? How might He work His power and strength through the family of Christ around me–and even through me–for the benefit of others? And I can totally relate to your glasses story – how I hated mine! To make matters worse, my mother would always sigh when I put them on, lamenting that they detracted from my looks. Can you imagine??? As a result, I didn’t wear my glasses as I should have. Was elated when I finally got contacts.
