Oh yes, traveling especially back to back certainly brings overwhelm. Seems like you just tread water or start to drown, One reason why coming home and back to routine brings so much comfort. I know the feeling like you re picking three things but still have so much to do. I try to concentrate on the little victories though.

I've been feeling quite overwhelmed myself for about a month now (and I'm about to leave for my 3rd trip in a month...hmmm....). I love the pick-3 idea; I try to do that on most days. I don't stop working my to-do list even after I finish those 3 things, but at least I know if I got those 3 things done, everything else is icing on the cake. It does help! There are just too many things that I want to do. ha.

It's a thing on Alabama highways to see how many "Call me, Alabama!" signs we see from a particular attorney. ha. How fun that you've been noticing WAY signposts this year! And coming up with such great insights. I need to start looking for SHIFT ones now. :)

LOVE the idea of a daily adventure, Jean, and as you introduced the idea to me, an adventure immediately popped into my head! Just that change in perspective cemented what I'd already considered as a solution to a dilemma, just hadn;t fully embraced yet. Thank you, dear friend--once again your wisdom, your practical insights have helped me! 🥰

Jean, I love what you said about starting small. I think this is the secret to resurrecting or beginning new projects, ideas, tasks. Whatever.

Being kind and gracious to ourselves as we pick an interest or commitment or calling once again is the icing on the cake.

Sheer grace.

Happy Saturday, dear one.

I think the best way to pick up a spiritual practice that has fallen by the wayside is just to start again! God "knows what we are made of, remembering that we are dust" (Psalm 103:14 HCSB). Like any good parent, he forgives our lapses, and takes pleasure in our redetermination toward knowledge, wisdom, and spiritual maturity. Kudos, Jean, for starting again--you're off and RUNNING with that long list!

Humbled more than proud. The process was so revealing both internally and in its lessons. Humble that I needed to slow down and listen - I know that but put it into practice for these days was priceless. Not pride but encouraging to re-evaluate the internal narratives that are not true or no longer useful.
