I like the new definition better too. Reminds me to focus on God, not fear. I am amazed how often fear raises its little head in my life. Like I said, I name it, and tell it, it is not in control and won't be driving my life. The image makes me smile and fear then moves to the back seat. He can continue to be quite a back seat driver though at times. LOL

I think the term FOMO is so odd until I found its other meaning, Now when I see it , it reminds me more of God, than fear. Interesting your facebook experience. I really do need to cut back on my smart phone reliance too. Just a few simple boundaries should help. .... maybe....

I like your new definition of FOMO much better. That's the one I need, not the original one! Thanks for sharing this, Jean. I'm always looking for ways to beat down fear.

I love your new acronym for FOMO, Jean! That's where our heads and hearts should be, not on the fear that comes with the falsehood that we are somehow missing out on something. I really used to feel that fear when I failed to get on Facebook multiple times a day. After giving it up during Lent, my visits are much more infrequent, and I've lost the feeling that somehow I HAVE to be there. Such a relief!
Blessings!
