Michele - interesting your comment about Japan. I was gone this weekend so wrote and preposted this piece BEFORE all the tragedy there. wow, to read this now with that insight adds new depth to this verse. Thank you for that insight.

This verse makes me think of those suffering in Japan, too. It's easy for us so removed from the tragedy to watch the news or see the films and photos and then move on with our days and our own concerns. But we must not forget what our eyes have seen. We need to hold the Japanese people in our hearts and pray that they know God is with them in their pain and suffering.

This was lovely.

He truly is ever-faithful to us Jean, even through our brokenness and human weaknesses.

And I especially liked the line : "Lord Your love is the Velcro around my heart to help me cling to You."
