I was thinking about the colours, which have been good in Scotland this year; but they do celebrate a year dying, and have the winter before them. There's something of death there, but a dead tree's leaves don't colour brightly like this. The leaves coming off the trees come from fresh buds for next year's spring.

Yes, Pat, we can't control the coming changes but can control our mindset. Blessing on your day too!

I know I have to let go some of the resentment about 2020 and find the beauty even in a troublesome year. Adventure is a great positive word Nancy!

Yes, the letting-go message resonates with me too. As one who's wary of change, the autumn leaves remind me of the beauty that can emerge when I let go of the status quo--just as the leaves let go of photosynthesis and their summer-green coloring to display the vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows that are ever-present, hidden underneath the green. I think the leaves are telling me to embrace change as an adventure.

Still waiting here in GA for God's palette to be on full display, and looking forward to it. Yes, Jean, fall is a bittersweet time, but one of my favorite seasons nonethe less. Let us die to ourselves that we might live more abundantly in Jesus!
Blessings!
