I arise by knowing its another day on the pilgrimage with Jesus to Heaven…lace my tennis shoes and He and I are off for the day…i make sure He is always in lead or side by side…big trouble if i wander off….
As He said to His disciples…”Arise..let us be goin”….

What a perfect way to begin each day… by inviting God to stand beside me in whatever lies ahead and wrapping myself in His cloak and armor.

I often start my day thinking “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.”

But “I arise today…” — combined with St. Patrick’s many ways if looking at it — has an energy and power in it that I love.

Thank you for this blessing today.
