Thanks for leaving a comment, I am sorry not to answer you in a timely manner but we have been traveling. I am happy to now be home for awhile. I have heard of Cynthia Bourgeault but not that book. Will check it out. Thanks for the suggestion

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me. I gotta check this book out. Thank you so much for the lead.
Right now I’m reading The Wisdom Jesus, by Cynthia Bourgeault. Have you read it Jean?

Not sure why. I loved Mary Haskett’s little book – Why Pray? and Ron Hughes has written Refresh – both have practical and biblical illustrations on how to talk with God.
I also blog at Under the Cover of Prayer.
Thanks for linking to Sunday Stillness.

One of the books on prayer that made the most impact on my life, was the book of Madame Jean Guyon. I think I have told you about her. But another little book that I can recommend to anyone who desires to walk with God, is The Practice of The Presence of God by Brother Lawrence. I know you like the work of the mystics as well!
Blessings XX
