I really enjoy watching the birds this winter too. We put a feeder just outside my office window and their antics are delightful. This mother bird certainly isn't too friendly and really gives me the "look" when I pass by the window. sort of funny really. I did smile when you called me the grandmother of the brood. I really liked that!

What a delightful story, and well told, too.(Your description of the nest as a twiggy nursery made me smile!) I'm also smiling because of all the positives you've identified for sharing your home with a robin family. God bless you, Jean, as you serve as grandmother to the brood!
