Have you read Anne’s LaMotts book – Help, Thanks. Wow. It is about the three prayers we usually make you what you wrote in the comments reminded me how many of our prayers really are the crisis ones, calling out for help. I agree it is so hard and the tension between not feeling like we are enough and knowing deep down he is enough continues with a huge gap between them. Let’s keep praying for one another!!

You have to show up or I wont make it through today. As I read, I know in my heart that a touch is more than enough. Even a command from a distance would really be plenty… yet I know me and so does He. Tomorrow, I will be waving frantically for Jesus hand in the dark, and when Im not soothed take on the countenance of Thomas.
What a patient and merciful Lord. So full of generosity and grace towards me. A full measure of unmerited favor he has for me, that I may enjoy holding his hand and resting in His love, rather than worry about being enough, having enough faith, and hopping over enough hurdles.
