Beth practicing God’s presence during the day when all the distraction are around is a challenge for me too. Perhaps that is why I experience more first thing and last thing. bookend my day with God!!

I loved this reading, and I got to proclaim it yesterday at church. “you know what time it is” is such a wonderful challenge, isn’t it? You saw it as getting up in the morning, and I saw it as working on faith.
I stink at waking up in the morning. I don’t do a lot of smiling…maybe I should reflect on this again, and apply it to the alarm going off 🙂

Your post today reminds me of one of my favorite verses in the whole Bible. This verse kept me following hard after our Lord even in my darkest days. Psalm 27:8 … My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with Me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming. (NLT).” i am still filled with such joy and delight when I read this verse!!! Goosebumps delight.
