Hi Jean! Oh my goodness, I am so thankful for carbon monoxide detectors too. Once, our family was sitting down to dinner together, and I don't know why, but I saw the detector start to register numbers. I asked my husband if we should leave the house, and he said "YES!"
We called the fire department, and it turned out that we also had a furnace malfunction. God is good to me, and to you and your family as well. It is sobering to think how many people have suffered before the invention of this wonderful detector.
Happy Thanksgiving my friend! We have so much to thank God for,

In reply to <a href="https://healthyspirituality.org/what-i-am-most-thankful-for/#comment-7325">Martha Orlando</a>.

It was a scary way to see thanksgiving in new light and when we all sit around the table this Thursday, my heart will be grateful for the lives of my kids/grandkids. I could be planning funeral now instead of a turkey menu. wow that gives me goosebumps. Yes there is no end to those who need and deserve some appreciation. Spread that love. And I am grateful for you and your friendship. Happy Thanksgiving to you too.

Wow, Jean! Your stories here have put thankfulness in a whole new light for me. As I continue my gratitude journal, I will definitely take the "behind the scenes" tact as I continue with it. When we stop and think about it, there is no end to what or who deserves our gratitude.
Happy Thanksgiving!
