Yes, praise God for the open doors into Germany and Austria for these people! (And yes, our week has been delightful so far.)

Yes but did you see the wonderful reception many of them received in Germany and Austria? restored my faith a little. I really really do want to believe that most people do the right thing but I know I get so caught up in the details of my own life - i fail to see someone else's pain. reminded me to pay better attention. Hope you are having a good week.

The whole situation does make us reflect what would we do? then moves it to what can I do? My heart was warmed though by seeing the wonderful reception many of them received in Germany and Austria. Restored my faith in humanity... Hope you are having a great week.

Thank you Jean, for addressing the pain, powerlessness, and poverty of the Syrian refugees. So heartbreaking. How human beings can be so cruel to one another--especially to children--is mind-boggling!

Hi Jean! I saw Ann Voskamp's post on things to do to help. I really was heartened by that.
This is unimaginable pain, and I wonder to myself what we do as Americans if refugees were flooding our borders? I hope we would be welcoming and a source of comfort.

Your meme's are really powerful. I especially like the second one. May God find a place to tuck the pain of the world in me, so that my prayers will help heal. And may the people of Europe open their broken hearts to the needy at their borders.
Blessings,
Ceil
