I have never read one of these books, or seen the movie. I think I have missed a lot! The quotes you have here are so wonderful and thought provoking. Not to mention how much truth is in them too.
You show how we can all learn great truths from small things, like a book or a movie, or a little character in them. Light is everywhere, and we can catch its rays if we look!

Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien fan. He’ll be delighted that tomorrow is National Hobbit Day! Jean, I’m amazed at the number of lessons you drew out of Tolkien’s writings. I especially appreciated: “No matter your size, you can do great things.” Made me think of my blog. It may have a relatively small readership, but God can still use it to encourage others.
