So glad you identified with the bee keeper in this story. I found her bio fascinating. So many people out there I've never heard of that we can learn from. Everyone has a story, right? Good finding your comment here tonight. Thanks

You have lots of Irish in you too. I am really enjoying digging into the history of the Celts and all their beliefs. St Brigid is coming on Thursday!

Hi Jean! Aren't you blessed to have Irish blood in you!! My dad was 100%, and my mom about 80%. I love the story of St. Gobnait. What a name, right? Ireland is full of saints and spiritual culture, a rich place of faith and tradition.

Love the prayer too. Beautiful.

Thank you, Jean, for introducing us to St. Gobnait. Not only did I not know her, I didn't know that bees were an important part of Irish culture. Along with the healing properties of honey and bees' important place in creation as pollinators, I learned from Thelma Wells (Women of Fatih speaker) that bees shouldn't be able to fly. According to the laws of aerodynamics, their wings are not big enough/long enough. Nonetheless, they manage just fine! We, too, can "fly" in life, against the odds, because GOD is on our side! No doubt St. Gobnait knew that--as she drew that line along the borders of the parish and released her bees to thwart invaders!

Oh, this is right up this Irish gal's alley! I don't have a favorite saint, per se, but am looking forward to exploring this topic with you in the weeks to come. Today's was one about whom I'd never heard, and I found her story fascinating! Blessings, Jean!
