I am learning more and more I don't have the answer right away when trying to decide so try to listen for some sense of direction and follow that tiny step. Then often the light will come on and I find my way. Still learning and making mistakes though - often because I was impatient and tried to force my way forward. Lots to learn. Have a wonderful week, Nancy

So glad this post hit the spot of you, Ceil. I know the feeling of too many irons in the fire. I just made my to do list for the week - no way I will get it all done. I am going to though to decide the 2 or 3 most important each day and work on those and let the others go. Discerning - on ongoing skill to learn and practice... Have a great week!

I appreciate your advice to step out in faith, affirmed by that wonderful quote of Martin Luther King, Jr. Remaining frozen in place will get us nowhere. If we happen to misunderstand God's plan, He is powerful enough to stop us!

Hi Jean! I was just swimming in a bit of angst this morning, so this is a very calming post for me. Too many irons in the fire! I love the thought that I may not know the ending of the story, perhaps just the next step, and that's enough.

I love this topic, it's such an important skill. Without discernment, we'd all be running down blind alleys and bunny holes wondering how we got there. Becoming calm enough to intentionally notice and name does seem to be the key.
Thank you for these great thoughts,
Ceil

That Thomas a Kempis prayers is one of my favorites. I am really enjoying this blog series - may have to expand on it and turn it into an e-book. So glad you are companioning on this journey with me, Martha!
