I am excited to receive my copy of your Monthly Musings so I can begin in January. Since first reading your Monthly Musings, I find myself looking at things happening each month, people who come into my life, lessons learned and quotes that inspire me more than I did before.
I ponder about books I am reading and how it affects my life.
You are a very inspirational writer and since I have begun reading your books I am learning so much about myself than I ever paid attention to. And for that I thank you!

In reply to Lisa notes. God has been inviting me to the Bigger Picture, not to get so focused on the mess and muck of details that in the future will not even been remembered or transformational. I think that is why that quote struck me too. I too want that love question to lead me, to see others as God sees them. I long for this very very deeply.

“How can I best respond in love?” That’s such a wonderful question. It’s not always my conscious go-to, but I want it to be.

The Douglas Adam quote makes me smile. Yes, it can change my perspective, too. What a miracle that we are able to live here at all. God is so good.

I agree with Martha: the video was fascinating. Now I better understand why the “R” sound is so difficult for young children and non-native English speakers. / Your squirrel story reminded me of our son’s bird feeder. When a squirrel climbs on, it starts to spin. Most squirrels quickly hop off. But one day, a determined fellow held on tightly as the spinning began. Faster and faster he twirled until centrifugal force stretched his body almost parallel to the ground. Finally he flew off and sailed several feet out from the feeder, but landed safely in the grass and scampered away. We laughed hysterically as the little drama unfolded, thankful that in the end he was unharmed. Nevertheless, he offered a very strong example of perseverance! / Thank you for a delightful buffet of musings for November, Jean!

Wow, Jean, that video was fascinating! I always wondered why that British-sounding accent was so prevalent in old movies, even though the actors were American. Now I know!
And I loved the story of the squirrel’s perseverance. We have had many a squirrel do nothing less than acrobatic feats trying to get bird seed out of the feeders – they don’t give up (and neither should we).
