Hi Ceil, Since I started this observation of my assumptions I find I have them all the time and often they influence my emotions/behaviors more than I realized. guess the first step is awareness so its a start. And Pruning. man is God teaching me lessons there. Thanks for your encouragement.

Hi Jean! I think there are many assumptions that I make everyday, and don't even notice them. Some of them are fact-based, but others just exist to make me nervous or serve to judge others. Those are the ones that need to go.
The pruning idea is such a good one for 'letting go'. Obviously God loves to give us a good cutting-back and sees the value in it too. I guess I should as well.
Blessings,
Ceil

Even after I wrote this post and am trying to be aware of this - I made an error in judgement due to assuming something. wow, I think it will take me a lifetime to work on this!

Guilty as charged, Jean! There are so many assumptions we all make on a daily basis, most of the time without even thinking that that is what we're doing. You've really heightened my awareness about this not-so-good habit. I will pray for God's grace to break it.
Blessings!
