I don’t think a tree enjoy to be pruned but the fruit thereafter are mouth-watering, gold to be heated to boiling point and made into precious jewellery.
Be strong friends and know that all these trials and tribulations means nothing when compared to the Glory of God that shall be revealed on us, Romans 8:18!

O’Malley: “If we are so busy doing and experiencing that we have no time for quiet reflection, then life becomes not a connected whole but a pile of beads without a string.” Such a great metaphor and a good quote to tuck in the front of a journal! Do you have this one in your collection? “If you realize that you aren’t as wise today as you thought you were yesterday, you’re wiser today”–Unknown.

Thank you for sharing these examples of true wisdom with us (I especially liked the one about the rabbi and his son!).
Blessings!
