In reply to Ceil. I do love St Benedict and all the wisdom we can learn from those who walk before us. All of us need to learn to be more intentional in listening to God's voice and our own voice and not those of others. I keep finding more and more about the rule of life. amazing practice. Hope you are having a great week. I have been to a writing conference in Florida and now spending a few extra days at the beach before heading back north.Great to get away but also will be nice to be back to routine.

Hi Jean! Reading St. Benedict’s quote is like seeing a rescuer in the distance. We need to trust ourselves, and God’s voice in us, even though we are so weak. In weakness, His voice is STRONG…
I didn’t realize there were so many books written about Rule Making, that’s great! I think I’ll stick with your outline first, then maybe drift over to a different author.
