Last fall I planted my fist Concord vines. I can see them from my kitchen window, and I had nothing but faith to believe they were alive shortly after they were in the ground. This Sunday, my daughters and walked out to see if there was any signs of life, and to our great surprise, the vines were covered in buds and unfurling pink leaves. We rejoiced at all these vines would become. Such a beautiful picture. He is the vine… my strength, source of life, the one who gives me beauty and fruit to share with the world. I am the branches, the one commanded to carry forth his plan, of no strength of my own, yet a carrier of all I need thanks to the vine. Not only for myself, but for all that will come and partake.
wow what a neat story and illustration. I would love to have the backyard area open to raise some grapes. Thanks for commenting and giving me that delicious visual. Just back from a week in Florida and still recovering. but slowly getting back to “normal”
Thanks Ceil. Back from vacation and our trip to Florida and Disney. refreshed but also still recovering – take couple of days to get back to routine.
