“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God,
“who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 1: 8
Lord you are the Alpha and the Omega.
The first and the last.
You surround me with Your protective arms
Protecting me from myself and other dangers.
You hem me in, Lord encompassed by all that is You.
You are the beginning of all things.
You are the final conclusion to life.
You are the opening prelude and the grand finale.
You are the miracle of conception and enclose us with Your presence through tender death and the surprising beyond.
My eyes cannot see where You start nor can I comprehend Your closing moments.
You existed before anything else and will outlast all that have breath and life.
You who is, who was and who is to come
You are the Almighty.
King and Master of my soul.
Lord and Savior.
My Alpha and my Omega.
Enfold me in Your Majesty and embrace me in Your everlasting love.
This one of my favorite passages too. We sure do think alike! LOL
Beautiful reflection. I have always been moved by this scripture passage. Thank you!
Thanks for your prayers…almost all better…still a little congested, but so grateful to not feel sick 🙂
Thanks Johnnie. Whenever I get tempted to quit these Sunday prayers I get comments that tell me to continue them. If I ever drop any regular post I think it will be the Saturday quote but that one is the easiest one to get completed. Oh well, 4 times a week seems to work for now. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Hi Dolly hope you are feeling better. I really need to get around to all the blogs this week and visit. That will be my goal. Thanks for stopping by and commenting today
This is a favorite, Jeanie. I’m so thankful God hems me in.
I love that He is the grande finale…Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Hugs 🙂
Hi Karen, Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I hope the rest of your week goes well too.
Hi Courtney, I thought this kneeler was gorgeous too..Thanks for your nice comment. May your week be blessed and a blessing to others.
I know when I ponder God’s hands – how they hold us, protect us, love us, I am humbled and awe struck and very very grateful
Perfect way to launch my Monday! Thank-you!

What a pretty kneeler, and an even better thought – being enveloped by God. It is a comfort.
It’s nice to have an assurance knowing that our names are in His hands.
I wrote that line very easily, then laughed at its honesty. I think I am most of the time, my worse enemy and more dangerous than lots of other things in the world. This was a sincere prayer!
My favorite part-you protect me from myself and other things. Yes!
