Receiving love brings us to a place of vulnerability.
That is why it is so difficult.
So often we live in the illusion that it is much easier to love than to be loved.
We may think we can exercise a bit of control in loving another, but there is no control in being loved.
The ones who truly love us walk into our hearts, often unnoticed, unannounced, and then reveal to us how genuinely loveable we are.
And nothing feels more vulnerable than that.

Good quote…good truth…Good God.
Dear Jean
When we look at what Love did to free those He loves so much from the kingdom of darkness, we begin to realize that without Him living His life in and through us, we will never be able to love our enemies!

Amen, Mia. You have written truth!
A beautiful quote. I didn’t realize how vulnerable I felt being loved until I read these words. That must be way it feels uncomfortable. Yet feels so warm. Thank you for sharing! Visiting from Saturday Sharefest!
Hi Lucy. I am just lately starting to feel more comfortable with my vulnerability. If you get a chance, watch the youtube presentation by Brene Brown on vulnerability. She gave me new insight into this emotion. Thanks for stopping by today
