“We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.”

Awww, sometimes to start at home is the hardest of all, yet has the most impact. Great quote.

Thanks for commenting Shanda. I too think most people desire to feel that they belong and are loved. If we could only first think of that before we act, the world would have a lot more peace and understanding.

This is actually one of my favorite quotes by Mother Teresa. Not only do we need to show people we care, but compassion begins at home.
