Prayer – God’s Delight – Quote of the Week

March 1, 2014 By Jean Wise

The baby was staring intently at other people, and as soon as he recognized a human face, no matter whose it was, he would respond with absolute delight.

healthyspirituality.org

I realized that this is how God looks at us, staring into our face in order to be delighted.

I suspect that only God, and well-loved infants, can see this way.

Even when we try to run away from our troubles, as Jacob did, God will find us, and bless us, even when we feel most alone, unsure if we’ll survive the night.

God will find a way to let us know that [God] is with us in this place, wherever we are, however far we think we’ve run.

 Amen.

Praise God for his attentiveness and perseverance! What a comfort to know he will never leave us to fend for ourselves. And wonder of wonders, the all-powerful God of the universe actually takes delight in us! AMAZING!! Thank you for a strong shot of positivity, Jean!

Hi Jean! I do love the idea of God smiling on us, and we his children, smiling back. Such an intimate relationship.
Glad to hear your conference went well! Enjoy your stay in the warmth. Stay a while! It’s still winter up north 🙂

I kept digging and googling and found that the new Avast we installed doesn’t like Disqus! Found out how to fix it. It works here but not on someone else’s site. So I still have to dig! So glad it was a good conference. Have a great time with your SIL! We’re getting ice and up to 6 inches of snow…AGAIN! So 😛 LOL

interesting info. I know one other reader commented she couldn’t comment but most usually can. Sorry the north is still cold. maybe we can help coax some warmer air to come with us when we leave for home on Thursday
