What Is Wonderful about the Number 1800?

October 15, 2024 By Jean Wise

1800

1800? What is so wonderful about that number you ask?

  • 1,800 seconds is equal to 30 minutes.
  • To count from 1 to 1,800 would take you about thirty minutes. This is a very rough estimate, based on a speaking rate of half a second every third order of magnitude.
  • 1,800 is an even composite number composed of three prime numbers multiplied together. But to be honest, I am not sure what that even means. LOL

But anyway, why do I bring 1800 up today?

Today marks Healthy Spirituality’s 1800’s post! I can’t even imagine I have written 1800 articles here since February 2009. So time to pause and say thank you, dear friends for reading and sticking with me. Praying and commenting. Adding to the conversation.  Over the years there is close to 11,000 comments!

The most popular categories continue to be quotes, seasonal inspiration, spiritual practices (especially prayer), hymn stories, and oddly enough a grouping called wisdom stories, especially about inspirational historical people.  What would you add to this list as your favorite? Often, I share my own spiritual lessons and struggles – those are hard to put into a category. Guess I would call them life.

As I grow older and am asked more and more if I am going to ever retire, I wonder if and when to drop writing on a blog. Blogging has been a place to express my faith, to explore ideas, and to find and connect with new friends. Quit? Someday? Not yet.

So you are stuck with me a little longer. 1800 more?  Not sure of that many more, but I will keep writing as long as the good Lord allows and the Holy Spirit inspires!  Thanks for hanging in there as we explore together what it means to have a healthy spirituality!

In my humble opinion, I think you should continue to write and minister until God calls you home, or till He says to lay it down. I’ve continued to enjoy your thoughts over the years. And as I’ve been led into more poetry, you started posting about your own poetry journey, so you never know how the Lord will use you! I sort of think of our online writings as a sort of legacy, using a mission field that is world wide. My writing has been limited to my newsletter for the past 1+ years, but I know the blog is calling to me more and more as well. So much writing to do – so little time!

    Have a blessed week!

Pat you ARE an inspiration to me! I love it that you are still subbing. That keeps me going too. And you are so right. If God still wants us there to shine our light, let’s keep shining!

Wow, Jean, I’m impressed! 1800 is amazing when we’re counting published blog posts. I enjoy all the subjects you cover here and the personal spiritual growth you share. Please continue to be that weekly inspiration we all need. Blessings!
