Today I am celebrating the birthday of one of the books I wrote and published in 2017, The Communicator’s Companion: Devotions for Speakers and Writers. Usually, I shy away from promoting my own books but today I thought I would share this book just in case you might know someone who is a speaker or writer and could use a littler encouragement. Maybe this book could help them.
Here is the description of the book:
“Writers and speakers love words. Words are their tools. Communicators recognize the power of one word to be able to inspire, comfort, teach, and literally and through literal means, change lives. The Communicator’s Companion contains 40 devotions based on various communication roles and words. These reflections will nourish Christian speakers and writers’ faith. This new and expanded edition of devotionals for Christian communicators offers encouragement, insight, and grace for the creative work of spreading God’s message of love to others. Discover the numerous ways God communicates. Be inspired to model God’s approaches to words, both spoken and written. Grow deeper in your own faith by seeing God from a new point of view. Walk with God through these devotions and listen, learn, and converse with the Communicator’s Companion.”
Each devotion introduces a writer word such a blogger, ink, pen, with a Bible verse, reflection, and questions to ponder. I think what makes this book unique is that it is written focused on speakers and writers, not a general audience.
I have been asked recently how many books I have written now and the answer is 12. That number surprises and amazes me. I am working on number 13 and it is one that will take quite a bit of time so don’t look for it for a while. Here is my author page if you want to see them all in one place. Again, I don’t like to promote myself all the time but a writer does have to market occasionally. I do appreciate your encouragement and support.
Thanks for allowing me a little space here today for this celebration. What have you celebrating lately? Discovered any new books lately?
Congratulations on your book-a-versary, Jean, and publishing TWELVE books! Can’t remember where I heard/read it, but someone said, “You’re not marketing for yourself; you’re marketing for God’s glory.” As your books touch lives, Jean (and I know they do because they’ve touched me), God IS getting the glory! May your own heart be blessed as you pursue the completion of Book #13!
