“I think Christians fail so often to get answers to their prayers because they do not wait long enough on God. They just drop down and say a few words, and then jump up and forget it and expect God to answer them. Such praying always reminds me of the small boy ringing his neighbor’s doorbell and then running away as fast as he can go.”
Well now there is a truth for a lazy Saturday afternoon. thanks Jean.
Wow, that really hits right where it hurts, Jeanie. Where do you find all these quotes?
I’m so guilty of this. I never thought about it being like a game of ding dong ditch–boy, that really makes me think. There’s a contemplative prayer group at my church, and I’ve been trying to work it into my schedule, hoping that it might help me with this very thing.
Very powerful quote.
