Gratitude – Quote of the Week
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. - Melody Beattie - … [Read more...]
Happy Birthday, USA!
We are traveling to Boston this Independence Day Holiday and will be listening to the Boston Pops on the 4th of July. So I am posting this early. Enjoy! Here is a thought to ponder this holiday: You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. Simplicity Prayer – Quote of the Week

Amen Jan Salbert … [Read more...]

Yielding to God – Quote of the Week – Thomas Merton
I must learn to let go of the familiar and the usual and consent to what is new and unknown to me. I must learn to ‘leave myself’ in order to find myself by yielding to the love of God. If I were looking for God, every event and every moment would sow, in my will, grains of God’s life that would spring up one day in a tremendous harvest. Thomas Merton … [Read more...]
